Our new phase of growth is all about supporting our people. Liz brings exceptional experience from a career supporting and scaling people-based businesses in the professional services and non-profit sector.

At Fishawack Health, we are entering a new phase of growth centered on our people. We are committed to building a robust company culture that empowers our team members to deliver truly integrated services for our life science clients, in turn driving faster access to life-saving therapies for patients. We are cementing this new chapter with the appointment of Elizabeth (Liz) Landon in the newly formed role of Chief People Officer.

As Chief People Officer, Liz will drive a company-wide culture focused on recruiting and retaining the talent of today and tomorrow. She will lead an international team of HR, Talent, and Learning and Development professionals where she will play a pivotal role in optimizing our strategy to build teams of the best-of-the-best clinical and commercial experts and deliver cutting-edge, end-to-end solutions for life science clients across the product lifecycle.

During the past 5 years, Fishawack Health has grown significantly; we are now 1,300 strong, operating across 21 offices in Europe, the USA, and Asia. As we continue to grow organically and through our targeted M&A strategy, Liz will play an important role in continuously evaluating our organic growth, talent development, and acquisition approach to ensure the group evolves simultaneously as one organization with a united culture and synchronized platforms and processes.

Liz’s mission is to deliver a first-class employee experience – all the way through from recruitment to hire, career progression, and exit. She is particularly excited to develop pathways that empower every employee to visualize their role in Fishawack Health’s ambitious vision for the future.

“When everyone sees the same future state and can see their role in it, that phenomenon builds a shared culture profoundly,” she explains. “With the growth opportunities in front of us, our goal is to ensure each and every employee understands his/her/their career opportunities within and across Fishawack Health. The growth and opportunity are there. We now need to ensure the career path is visible and attainable.”

Liz has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, an MBA, and a master’s degree in Public Policy –all from the University of Chicago. With more than 30 years of experience leading Human Resources functions, Liz began her career at Accenture, a global consulting firm with more than 500,000 employees. She worked as a Management Consultant to develop business strategies, organizational strategies, and communications strategies while driving diversity and equity, human performance, and change management. The role sparked her passion for facilitating organizational change and fostering outstanding company cultures in complex organizations.

She then transitioned to Global Managing Director, Talent Management, where she partnered with top leadership to prioritize and scope global talent initiatives. In her role, she oversaw various aspects of the workforce architecture – from capability planning to employee retention and engagement. The move cemented her ambition to develop employee experiences that are right for every person across multi-faceted business units.

For the last 6 years, Liz has led Human Resources functions in the non-profit sector at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and then Heartland Alliance – an international human rights organization.

“I am excited to join Fishawack Health at this new phase of growth, which emphasizes its focus on the employee experience,” Liz explains. “I am looking forward to working alongside the Executive team to build a purpose-driven, agile, and future-facing organization that is global and scalable. As someone who has worked in the people function at a professional services company for a long period, I know how important it is to empower every employee to develop, grow, and thrive. Doing so will ensure we better deliver for our clients, patients, and healthcare professionals while ensuring that the happiness of our employees and their development remains at the heart of everything we do.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Liz as Chief People Officer. Liz brings over 30 years of experience leading global Human Resources functions, in professional services and people-based businesses,” said Gail Flockhart, Fishawack Health Group President. “Her expertise and passion for developing people, from entry level to Executive Leadership, will ensure Fishawack Health attracts, retains, and develops the best talent while being the best place to work, learn, and grow in our industry. Liz has a rare blend of professional services and global human resource capability, which will weigh heavily in our organizational development as we move through this next phase of growth.”
